Á Capucha

À Capucha

“à capucha. adv. 2. Discreetly, modestly, quietly”

À Capucha! creates objects for those who appreciate uniqueness, quality and the small details that tell us the stories behind each piece.

To build À Capucha!’s first collection we invited designer Helena Cardoso and the Arões Group of Artisans to create a series of 5 original hoods.

The capucha is a traditional Portuguese garment, used by shepherds and farmers. Entirely handmade and made of burel (100% wool), our capuchas are warm, impermeable and highly resistant. The shape and the color palette were carefully redesigned, in order to become more functional and adapted to contemporary usage.

Cut, sewn and embroidered with the same art since hundreds of years ago, we brought the capuchas from the small Portuguese villages into the world.

All products are designed and produced in Portugal
